Hey there, Does anyone have information on the Barris Kustom built 1965 Jaguar, in a Munster's motif, for Yvonne De Carlo? It was called the "Mystere". Basically, it's the third Munster car, yet it didn't make the show. I'm trying to find images of it, as there seemed to be a lot of Photo's taken of it at one time. Plus anything else that pertains to it. Thanks

One souce was "Cars of the Stars" a hardback book, 1974 by Jack Scagnetti and George Barris, the other source was from a 1966 magazine titled " Hollywood & TV STAR CARS" and thanks for asking because I found this additional text.

That book is a little hard to find. I got mine in the 70's. Barris has them for $100.00 signed...

Thanks for the info. I'm hot to get as many photo's of it as I can find to help with the restoration. I found that car recently, and need to put all the missing pieces back on it that have been lost through the years. It will be quite a challenge, but a fun one.

Interesting project. Looks like it went back to a stock jaguar based on these ebay photos. Is this the car you now own?

Will keep looking and keep us updated on the resto.

Yes, that's the one. It was redone as a stock Jag, and then went off the grid for about 40+ years. I inspected the car when it arrived, and it's the one. Besides all the documentation, I saw the original black paint in the trunk and under the hood. Where there were casket handles attached to the trunk, the screw holes are still under the paint. From inside the trunk lid you can see little bondo noodles squeezed through the holes. And there's evidence inside of where the curtain rods were. Plus I heard the electric sunroof is an extremely rare option. A special order only option, which was chosen for doing parade appearances. The coffin railing on the roof was for her to hang onto. It's a lot of work to do, as most of the pieces will need to be Kustom made again.
